§ 1-25. Acts declared illegal and an offense.

Whenever it is set forth in this Code that the doing of any act is prohibited, the doing of such act is unlawful and an offense punishable as such unless otherwise provided in this Code. Whenever any act or duty is required to be performed under this Code, the omission to do such act or to perform such duty is unlawful and an offense punishable as such unless otherwise provided in this Code.
